I wanted to record an episode that began to imagine a world where we relate to medicine outside of the westernized pharmaceutical industry. (In fact, I plan to record many an episode on this topic).

I’ve personally had some pretty amazing experiences intentionally working with psilocybin, ayahuasca, and cannabis (separately, not all together) … as well as some not so great experiences, when I was lacking the right intention, container, and knowledge around how these plants would each interact with my body or how to “set myself up for success”.

As our guest Lorena Nascimento shares on this week’s episode, psychedelics are pretty “hype” right now, and so it’s likely that if you’re reading this, you’ve had your own experience with some form of psychedelic drugs (even if that experience is just hearing about it ad nauseam from your friends, family members, or documentaries on Netflix).
