Miner Performance Testing: DesiweMiner K10Pro

We connected with DesiweMiner back in July at Mining Disrupt 2023, where they showed us their newest model — the K10Pro. After running the machine from August 30, 2023–September 8, 2023, we made the following observations.

Design

Right out of the box, we were amazed at the build quality of the K10Pro. The iron-grey shell, protective wire loom on the fan cables, and built-in OLED display exude thoughtful design. Coupled with its custom 8nm ASIC chips and advanced heatsink design, which incorporates heat pipes, this is a well-crafted machine.

Performance

In Normal mode, the K10Pro achieves 170 Th/s using 3825 Watts of power for an efficiency rating of 22.5 J/Th. In SmartBoost mode, it achieves 200 Th/s using 4900 Watts for an efficiency rating of 24.5 J/TH.

DesiweMiner claims the K10Pro was “born for the desert”. During our testing, we saw ambient temperature swings between 50F and 90F, and hashrate stayed consistent — even above the labeled hashrate.

We also found the built-in 0.96” OLED display to be very handy. You can cycle through various screens, viewing configuration and performance values such as IP Address, Hashrate, Power Draw, Efficiency, Temperature and Firmware Version. It’s helpful to have these pieces of data readily available without having to access your mining management software.

Coming Soon

Overall, the performance of the DesiweMiner K10Pro was consistent despite varying temperature swings and outperformed its expected hashrate. Reach out to FoundryX today to discuss your plans for acquiring this unit upon availability.
