It took a frenzy of a finish, but the Oklahoma City Thunder got the job done on the road. With the win over the Philadelphia 76ers, OKC improves to 27–18 overall this season and two games above .500 on the road (13–11).

Paul George and Joel Embiid led their respective teams on the stats sheet. George went off for 31 points, five assists, and six rebounds, while Embiid had a similar night with 31 points, six assists, and eight rebounds.

Oklahoma City trailed late before Paul George came in clutch and made a three pointer plus a free throw to give them a two-point advantage with five seconds remaining.

This win is huge for the Thunder because it keeps them in close proximity to the top of the Western Conference. The loss doesn’t do much for the Sixers outside of causing room for concern as to how they finish out close games.

Following the home defeat, Philadelphia is now 30–17 on the season and a whopping 19–5 at home.

Next up, Oklahoma City will travel to Madison Square Garden for a showdown with the Knicks on Monday. Meanwhile, the 76ers will host the Rockets on Monday in an effort to regroup from the loss.
