Panna Cotta is an Italian dessert made with sweetened cream and thickened with gelatin. The texture of this dessert is between pudding and jelly. It is also very common in Asian countries where the cream may be aromatized with matcha powder, black sesame powder, or other flavorings. For simplicity, people usually can also top it with fresh fruit or jam, or sweet red bean paste.

Ingredients:

· 3.5 tbsp sugar [42g]

· 350ml whole milk (can also be 1% or low-fat but whole milk gives it an extra creamy taste)

· 2 tsp vanilla extract

· 2.5 tsp (one pouch) gelatin [7g]

· 350ml heavy whipping cream

· 1–2 tsp of matcha (up to personal preference)

Steps:

1. Place your milk in a pot on medium-low heat. Make sure your milk is barely simmering (not boiled) before moving on to the next step.

2. When you see the milk starts to steam, add your sugar, matcha, and gelatin powder and mix until you start seeing small chunks.

3. Add whipping cream & vanilla extract and continue whisking occasionally until smooth

4. Pour into desired serving size containers (yogurt glass/drinking glass/ramekins) and once cooled down, leave it in the fridge for 6 hrs.
