I love the Roxie theater in San Francisco, in part because it’s on my 22 Fillmore Muni bus line. I can get on the bus across the street from my apartment building, and be delivered practically to the front door of the Roxie across town about 40 minutes later. That’s valuable to me, since it’s hard to find parking in San Francisco, and I don’t like walking alone at night through unfamiliar territory.

Sometimes, my husband Mark wants to come to the movies with me. But sometimes, he doesn’t; and I don’t want my attendance to depend on his enthusiasm. So the convenient bus service is important to me. But I also love the Roxie because it’s a small, independent movie house that plays artistic and interesting films.
