The gym I go to has a women-only section and inside the women’s changing rooms there is also a room which is the UV red light sauna. And on the door of the sauna it is stated that people must not bring their mobile phones inside.

It was late and I was very tired and I needed to relax, and get my breathing better. I opened the door hoping to avoid any confrontation with someone using their phone as had happened a couple of times already in the previous fortnight.

I was relieved only one woman was there but once I spread out my mat, settled into one corner, and looked up, I realised she had a damn phone but was hiding it in such a way that it was not in view from the glass door.

“Excuse me, perhaps you didn’t see the notice on the door about not using mobile phones in here?”

The woman looked over at me with what can only be called an expression of bored contempt and then carried on scrolling.

Okay, let her finish whatever she is doing I thought to myself.
