Here’s What AI Should Be Doing Instead
How about we use the new technology to level up humankind?
I was reading ’s insightful story about the Netflix series Adolescence when I got an idea. Why can’t we use AI to teach human beings to be better people? How about we use it to “level up” humankind?
The series lays most of the blame on the internet for the central crime of a boy stabbing a girl to death. “The detective in the series blames incel culture,” Caroll writes. And one of the show’s creators said doing the research for it made him sick — he wished he could unsee some of the horrible stuff he’d read on incel forums preaching hate against women and girls.

Why not flood the internet with benevolent chatbots that reshape humankind?
I’m pretty sure AI doesn’t get sick. It could handle the assignments. It could dive deep, read all the horrible posts, and respond to them in positive ways, like pointing out that girls and women (and other targeted groups) are human beings who have the right to decide…
