Kimmel Said Nothing Wrong
Cancelling his show tightens MAGA’s grip around our freedom-loving throats
Jimmy Kimmel is my favorite late night host because he’s funny, of course, but also because he has a big heart. When Trump won the election in 2024, Kimmel cried on live TV. He is a sincere man who isn’t afraid to be vulnerable in public. His sidekick Guiellermo is also funny and sweet.
I watched his monologue including comments about Charlie Kirk’s killing when they were posted on YouTube, as I always do, and Kimmel said nothing wrong. The day after what he characterized as “the senseless murder of the popular podcaster and conservative activist Charlie Kirk” Kimmel called out “extraordinarily vile responses to this from both sides of the political spectrum” and criticized the current president for not “at least make[ing] an attempt to bring us together” unlike former presidents Obama, Clinton, and Bush, who posted calls for unity on social media. — Kimmel’s Sept. 11 monologue on YouTube.
