Taliban Abducts 17-Year-Old Girl in Ghur for Forced Marriage

Local sources from Ghur province reported that Taliban officials forcibly took a 17-year-old girl from her home in Pasaband district and coerced her into a forced marriage with one of their members.
The Taliban Ministry of Interior did not confirm or deny this event in response to a query from Afghanistan International but stated that an investigation would be conducted into the matter.
At least four separate sources from Ghur confirmed that local Taliban authorities in the village of Noork, Pasaband district, Ghur province, forcibly took away a girl.
Sources sent a video to Afghanistan International stating that Khairullah Khairkhaw, the Pasaband district governor; Abdul Hamid Khalid, the police commander; Mohammad Mashfiq, the deputy intelligence officer; and Tawhidi, a Taliban intelligence officer, raided the girl’s house.
