FOX: Exclusive Interview With the Vice President of the United States
Earlier today, Michael Concord, a journalist for Fox News, interviewed the Vice President of the United States in an exclusive interview.
Concord: With your approval ratings sky high, in the past 48 hours, have you considered running for the Oval in the future?
Rounds: Well, that’s a great question. The President and I have an agenda to deliver for the American people, and that is the only thing I’m focused on currently. I don’t speak in hypotheticals, I think it’s important to focus on our agenda and not get lost in personal ambitions.
Concord: Are you suggesting that a race for the White House might be something you are interested in doing in when the opportunity presents itself?
Rounds: It hasn’t crossed my mind one way or another. I am loyal to my party, my president, and the American people. The Foxworth-Rounds Administration is popular, a clear majority of Americans supports the agenda President Foxworth has laid out, so as of now, I’d have to say no. However, if my party, and the American people want me to run at the conclusion of President Foxworth’s presidency, I will entertain the idea.
Concord: What is your response to Russia’s statement on NATO?
Rounds: I think it’s important to note, as it stands there is no Latvia in our UN, the fears that we’re unwillingly placing NATO forces in their borders are completely unfounded. NATO has a training base in Latvia, and we have used this base since before Russia was a member state, I think they need to take a step back, and reevaluate their position on the world stage and not throw baseless claims wielded with threats. In the event a Latvia applies to become a member of the United Nations, NATO will formally request permission to use the base in country for training.
Concord: What are you current views of our Congress?
Rounds: I think our Congress has garnered quite a bit of criticism, not all of this has been rightfully earned though. You look back at the previous groups, and leadership had always been the same few and some of which were very knowledgeable when it came to the proceedings of congress. It was clear that most of this criticism came from them, many can’t seem to fathom that the chance for new leaders to emerge was given, and the leadership of the past has quickly been forgotten, and in some cases criticized. All in all, I think this Congress will surprise some people, there are fresh ideas being proposed and people are excited to open up. There will be some growing pains, but we’ll get through them.
Concord: What is your current view of American businesses? And the progress that is being made?
Rounds: The President and I have been pleasantly surprised by the growth in our economy, and the businesses that have been driving that growth. Within the last several weeks, we have seen the creation of a dozen businesses, from news outlets, to innovative companies looking to go to space. It’s certainly been something to watch.
Concord: Is there anyone in the Foxworth Administration who’s competence concerns you or do you think that the Administration is full of completely competent individuals?
Rounds: I think the Administration is filled with competent individuals, with any administration there are growing pains but I think we’re creating a team culture that can help deliver for the American people.
Concord: What do you think the future of the Foxworth Administration will bring to American citizens?
Rounds: I think the Administration will bring economic stability to the American people, with strong relations and open trade with our allies. I will assure you, and the American people that by the end of this Administration, we will all feel a greater sense of security with an established military under the leadership of Sec. Macarthur. I think you’ll be surprised what we can achieve, and we hope to do so with our friends across the aisle.
Concord: Thank you very much Mr Vice President for your time.
Rounds: Thank you.
Concord: Is there any final comment that you have for our readers?
Rounds: I’d like to urge patience, our Administration is far from perfect, we’re going to make mistakes, its one of the things that makes us human. However, when we do, we’ll admit them frankly and try another approach.
