No scientist foretold the future like Nikola Tesla. In 1926, the physicist predicted smartphones, the MRI camera, and Wi-Fi. Many consider him the father of the 20th century with his 700+ innovations such as alternating current (electricity), a remote control, and a fluorescent light bulb.

Until his last days, Tesla was in his lab, energetic and focused as if he were 30. How come he was so full of life? Eating habits, he would say. The inventor led an ascetic life and loved his work so much that he’d forget to eat until the evening.

His meals were simple and easily made. The physicist liked soup, vegetables, honey, and fruit — especially apples. Also, he’d often have dairy products.

At that time wealthy Americans had lavish lunch: heaps of meat with potatoes and homegrown corn. For dessert, they’d eat cakes, pies, and whipped cream. And for breakfast, they’d have steaks, chops, oysters, grilled fish, fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, and biscuits. After this, you can only burp and roll onto the bed like ancient Romans.

Unlike John Doe, Tesla was careful about his diet and exercise, so he wore the same clothing size all his life.
