A Step-by-Step Guide to Onboarding with the Frak Protocol

Step 1: Download the Chrome Extension
To get started, you’ll need to download the Frak Chrome extension. Visit the Frak page on the Chrome Web Store then click “Add to Chrome” and confirm the installation. The Frak Protocol icon will now appear in your browser’s extension bar.
Don’t forget to pin the extension to follow your rewards in real time.
At this step, the icon is grey.
Step 2: Sign Up for an Account
Click on the Frak icon in your browser’s extension bar to open the sign up screen in the dashboard space. You’ll be prompted to sign up for an account. Provide your email address and create a strong password.
You must now enter the code you’ve just received in your mailbox.
Once you’ve successfully signed up, you’re ready to experience the power of the Frak Protocol. You can notice that the extension icon is now colored with the beautiful Frak gradient. 🤗
You can expand the extension quickly with the following shortcut :
- Alt + Maj + F (Windows)
- Option + Maj + F (Mac)
Step 3: Watch a first Video on YouTube to create your wallet
Head over to YouTube and find a video from one of the +20k Youtube channels already registered in the Frak Protocol. To create your own wallet in the Frak Protocol and start being rewarded, you’ll need to watch this video for at least 1 minute (this allows the platform to avoid bots) and until the end of the video.
You can now see that the Frak icon is green 🟢

Step 4: Let the Extension Create Your Wallet
Once the video is completed, The Frak Protocol Chrome extension will automatically create a wallet for you. You can also navigate away from the YouTube page to trigger the wallet creation. You can find now your wallet address in the header of the extension (just click on it if you need to copy it).
This wallet will store your Frak assets, including any content-linked investments (Fraktions) and rewards you earn (FRK token).
Congratulations! You are now a part of the Frak Protocol community. You can start being rewarded by watching Youtube videos, investing in your favorite content, and enjoying a more equitable, transparent, and community-driven content ecosystem.
