Build with Frame, run Revit on Mac
When we unveiled Frame last month at a CAD-centric Develop3D Live conference, we fully expected to see many folks trying to run SolidWorks, PTC Creo, Autodesk Inventor or Solid Edge. And we weren’t wrong:
Tweets quickly grew into full-blown reviews. If you haven’t tried Frame yet, check out Michael Lord’s “unboxing” of Frame (Michael is a Group Leader at Sydney SolidWorks User Group).
But while we were ready for the CAD crowd, the number of people who wanted to run Frame in architecture and construction took us by surprise:
Many users pointed out to a great benefit of Frame: running Windows-only app, like Revit, on Mac:
“As a Mac OS X user I still need access to Windows Apps in a smooth way. I’m an Architect and I’m depended on 3D-CAD tools like REVIT…”
And Frame was featured in Archintoch, an online magazine for Macintosh CAD and 3D design:
Some of our customers are already spreading the word about Frame in places like BIM Forum 2015 in San Diego this week, and we’ll make sure to build in all the feedback into the product.
