Frame and VMware Partner to Stream Windows Apps from the Cloud

Adding full-cloud app streaming to the world’s leading Digital Workspace service

I’m excited to share some big news from VMworld today: we’re announcing our new partnership with VMware, the virtualization leader. Together, we’re changing how Windows apps are delivered using modern, web-based workflows. Starting this fall, Frame will power VMware’s new App Express service, as a part of Workspace ONE.

App Express helps organizations rapidly deploy and stream full-fledged Windows applications from the cloud and it is seamlessly integrated with other Workspace ONE features. Users can access Windows apps from any browser, on any device, without downloads or plugins and without sacrificing performance.

We built Frame from the ground up to deliver secure cloud-based workspaces. Partnering with VMware is a great example of our platform’s extensibility and flexibility. In addition, Frame’s unlimited computing power ensures even the most complex visual applications run as smoothly as they do on a physical desktop or workstation, and much more securely. There’s no need to buy, build, or manage a data center and no need to update hundreds of individual systems. Frame handles everything within the cloud.

Our partnership will allow Workspace ONE App Express customers to:

• Securely access their Windows applications through a standard web browser without special client software or plugins.
• Easily push updates by patching one master image and publish to end users with a single click — no downtime involved.
• Quickly onboard and publish applications through Frame’s cloud-native control plane.
• ‘Pay as they grow’ for application delivery, rather than investing in IT they won’t need for years, if ever.
• Connect to major cloud storage services including Dropbox, Box, and Google Drive.
