What is left of the Berlin Wall, 30 years after the fall? With this haunting question, I’ve walked the streets of Berlin, looking for people to tell me how they have been living since the ultimate barrier between the two Germany came down.

According to Dorothea, who was a researcher in East Germany, the wall lives on in some people mind, and in how people who were from the east are still treated nowadays. Anna, a punk from West Berlin, agrees on that, and she believes that the rising fascist movements are a consequence of this division. For her, it is a reaction of the people who used to live in the east, and still feel like pariah in the new capitalistic society. Per Thomas, who lived next to the Wall, the only thing that counts is that now there is political freedom, and everybody can be together.

These are just small part of the stories they told me about the Wall, when I interviewed them for www.CiSiamo.info.
