Together with the Frankfurt TechQuartier, Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank is once again hosting an accelerator for start-ups from September 28 to 30, 2020. The multi-day program will be supplemented for the first time by webinars in advance. The accelerator, which is free of charge for participants, is aimed at German start-ups that develop innovative products, processes, or systems with added value for the agricultural and food industry.

The participants of the “ Growth Alliance — The AgTech & FoodTech Accelerator “ will present their innovative business models in the food and agricultural industries. The range of startup ideas and projects is diverse and ranges from ‘Precision Farming’ to ‘Vertical Farming’ to alternative protein sources. After the startups have pitches, all participants will have the opportunity to vote for the best pitch.

“We are again offering technology-oriented start-ups an excellent platform to expand their entrepreneurial know-how in a short time and to network,” said Dr. Horst Reinhardt, Spokesman for the Board of Management of Rentenbank.

With their business models, the founders answer critical questions and suggestions from start-up experts, established personalities from the agricultural sector, and potential investors. In the workshops and webinars, among other things, growth strategies, labor law, and successful pitching are deepened.

“The effects of the COVID crisis have once again shown us the importance of innovation and the great potential of the start-up community. Where and how we grow food, what and how we consume, will have a major impact on climate change. Ecologically and economically sustainable Solutions are more important than ever. We look forward to working with Rentenbank again to support such innovations in the agricultural sector, “said Dr. Thomas Funke, managing director of the TechQuartier.

Due to the special Covid-19 situation, there is a limit to the number of participants at the on-site event to a minimum. However, there will be a live-stream on the Demo Day to offer a digital opportunity to participants to get to know the startups and vote for the pitches.
