Taxdoo has raised a total of USD 21 million in its Series A financing round from global venture capital firm Accel, with participation from Visionaries Club, 20VC and the existing investor High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF). A venture capital team of Taylor Wessing led by Frankfurt partner Hassan Sohbi has advised Accel.

Taxdoo, founded by Dr. Matthias Allmendinger, Dr. Roger Gothmann and Dr. Christian Königsheim in 2016, is a compliance startup from Hamburg. Taxdoo offers customers in the e-commerce sector an in-house developed finance compliance platform which can be used to manage a large number of compliance topics in an automated process, such as value-added tax reportings as well as invoicing and Intrastat reportings.

Accel is a leading global venture capital firm, with investments in companies such as Dropbox, Facebook, Slack and Spotify. Accel works with startups in seed, early and growth-stage investments.
