WIESEMANN 1893 Enables Access to 3D Tool Holders for Everyone
WIESEMANN 1893, the digital tool brand, is expanding its offering with a community printing service. Via its 3D printing community from now on, the brand offers an affordable solution also to customers without a 3D printer. As a result, interested parties can contact a community member directly via the website for the printing of a 3D tool holder. With this, WIESEMANN 1893 is further expanding its area of additive manufacturing and underlines its position as a digital pioneer in the tooling industry.
With ENABLE 3D, WIESEMANN 1893 offers accessories such as wall holders for their tools. All products are purely virtual and can be downloaded for 3D printing. As not every customer has a 3D printer at home, the digital tool brand has now created a solution for this situation as well, with the Community Printing Service. If a customer without an own 3D printer wants to purchase one of the 3D tool holders by WIESEMANN 1893, they can now contact the brand’s community via a form on the website. (https://wiesemann1893.com/pages/community-printing) A member will print out the selected holder at home at a reasonable price and send it to the end customer by mail.
Manuel Siskowski, founder and CEO of WIESEMANN 1893, explains the introduction of the new service: “We want to make it easier for all customers to access the future technology of 3D printing. With the Community Printing Service, we have deliberately created an offer with an access as simple as possible. We see ourselves as a platform for our customers, where they can exchange ideas and support each other.”
Marcel Motyl, one of the first users of the Community Printing Service, talks about his experience of the new service: “I was very satisfied with the process via the Community Printing website. Beforehand, I had already thought about for which tool by WIESEMANN 1893 I needed a holder, so I was able to order the printing conveniently and quickly. Shortly after placing the order, the community member already contacted me and confirmed the order. A few days later I already held the holder in my hands. Really great quality and my first 3D print that really serves a purpose!”
Via the Community Printing Service, consumers without an own 3D printer, gain access to products that are otherwise unavailable. After all, 95 percent of German citizens don’t have a 3D printer at home, but according to a survey by Bitkom Research in Germany from 2017, 55 percent of respondents were interested in 3D printing, even though they had not used the technology before. Community developers, on the other hand, can increase the utilization of their own printer, which might otherwise only be used occasionally. WIESEMANN 1893 has recognized the potential here to significantly expand access to its ENABLE 3D product line.
Compared to available 3D printing services, holders via the Community Printing Service are about 80 percent cheaper on average for the end consumer. All available 3D designs from WIESEMANN 1893 are carefully checked in advance by a tooling expert. Only dedicated and experienced members are involved in the Community Printing Service process, so interested parties can rely on the service.
