We are now moving towards the launch of the Fractal utility token, FCL on February 25th. We want to use this opportunity to get the community involved from our advisors to entrepreneurs in the field and most importantly — you! We invite you to join our launch event on Tuesday February 23rd at 6:30 CET.

Join us via Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84766085705

During this event the Fractal Protocol Founders Julian and Júlio will introduce the protocol and address questions from the community.

Meet our guests

Bruce PonBruce Pon is the Founder of Ocean Protocol. He has been involved in blockchain since its early days and is working in blockchain since 2014. Previously he supported the building of 12 banks in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Bruce on Fractal Protocol:
“Fractal is important because it’s the first web3 project that is tackling the ad market. People should be given the tools to truly understand how their data is being shared and used for ads, instead of getting ads based on personal data that was never consented to be shared. Fractal helps to give people more control over their data.”

Fabian Vogelsteller — Fabian Vogelsteller is an Blockchain veteran who was part of the Ethereum Foundation in its early days. He helped shape the Ethereum space, building the official Ethereum Wallet, the first decentralized web3 Browser and tools like web3.js, the Blockchain spaces most used JavaScript library. 2015 he proposed ERC 20, the token standard that initiated the ICO wave and the DeFi movement.

Fabian on Fractal Protocol:
“I am happy to see systems appearing that can store claims and user data in a decentralized way. This will be a crucial piece for the coming web3 identity system, which will entail many of such systems working in concert “

Peter GrosskopfPeter Grosskop is CTO and MD at Börse Stuttgart Digital Exchange the first regulated digital asset exchange in Germany. Before he was CTO and co-founder at solarisBank. Peter has a technology and also entrepreneurial background. In 2008 he founded a software engineering consultancy out of university, grew it profitably to 27 employees. In 2014 he came to Berlin to join the company builder Hitfoxgroup and Finleap that focuses on fintech as CTO. Blockchain and decentralization fascinates him from the moment he got in touch end of 2016. Since then he shapes the vision to bring decentralized finance to reality.

Peter on Fractal Protocol:
“Identity and Data Portability is key to digital economy. Fractal will build the foundation to enable future industries.”

Aurel Stenzel Aurel Stenzel is a mathematician by training, holds an MBA from HHL and currently is a PhD candidate in Information Design. For many years, he was the COO of Adjust, Berlin’s first adtech unicorn and recently founded the SINE Foundation — a non-profit organisation that enables organisations to share their data for the better.

Aurel on Fractal Protocol:
Due to latest innovations, collaborative data usage in combination with individual data sovereignty is not a contradiction anymore.“

Ingo RübeIngo Rübe is the founder and CEO of BOTLabs, developer of the KILT Protocol for issuing self-sovereign, verifiable credentials. He founded BOTLabs with Hubert Burda Media and was CTO from 2012–2017; earlier he was IT Project Director at Axel Springer from 2006–2012. Ingo served on the Board of Directors of the Drupal Association from 2017–2020.

Ingo on Fractal Protocol:
“Fractal Protocol addresses the problem of ad fraud in a very modern way and has the chance to become the first actually usable blockchain solution in this field.”

Rotem Dar Rotem Dar , Director of Media Operations at eyeo, leads eyeo’s internal entrepreneurship in the fields of adtech and martech, with emphasis on the company’s online data strategy and its user-first marketing technology. Prior to his current role, Rotem was responsible for founding and establishing his brainchild, eyeo’s SSP subsidiary, the Acceptable Ads Exchange (AAX), setting its first company structure and strategic partnerships. He then served as its Head of Commercialization thereafter.

His passion for technology, online marketing, and his background in corporate, competition and privacy law, have helped him in leading eyeo’s expansion of its services and technology offering, and in improving the addressability of eyeo’s flagship Acceptable Ads. His current work also focuses on ideating and developing a new privacy-preserving ad-attribution product for eyeo, which will have a large impact on how data is protected and used in the future.

Rotem on Fractal Protocol:
“It’s clear that our online-selves gets closer to our physical-selves. Especially now, our mission at eyeo is to empower users by putting them in control of a fair and profitable web. Fractal’s vision aims for similar user empowerment and we can’t wait to see its progress.”

Meet our Moderator

Carolina SotoCarolina Soto is a tech investor at Future Energy Ventures, passionate about technology and the role it plays in shaping the way society functions. The impact it can have in individuals, entire industries and ecosystems, and how, if used in the right way, it can drive enormous positive change.

Carolina on Fractal Protocol:
“Since I met the Fractal team 3 years ago I’ve seen their passion for challenging the status quo and building great things. Their mission has always been to create a thriving protocol economy. The timing, technology and ecosystem are aligned like never before for them to succeed.”

Meet the Trust Fractal Founders

Julian Leitloff Julian Leitloff co-founded his own business at the age of 22 and took it to over $1 million in revenue, Julian was named as one of Forbes 30 under 30 in 2016. Julian started his career in banking but soon turned to academia, completing his graduate degree at Zeppelin University paired with research at the Chair of Entrepreneurship, Technology and Innovation on alternative finance. Julian founded Fractal in 2017 and serves as CEO.

Julian on Fractal Protocol:
“In retrospect the last three years have been crucial to gain the resources and knowledge to build Fractal as it is now. With the uprise of the latest impactful technological developments and a growing awareness of how the current web backfires us, the drive to make a change is now bigger than ever.”

Júlio SantosJúlio Santos is the CTO/CPO at Fractal, where he’s building a better Web with the Fractal Protocol. He is a technical leader, software engineer and entrepreneur, and tinkers with blockchain tech since 2015. Before Fractal, he founded Life on Mars (an elite software consultancy), Gruvi (cutting-edge performance marketing tools for clients like Twitter, Disney, Sony, and HBO).

Julio on the Fractal Protocol
“A free and open Web is a cornerstone of contemporary democracy. And it is under threat — you know it in your bones, and so do we. That’s why we’re building the Fractal Protocol: to rebalance the incentives on the Web in order to help it remain free and open. We finally have the tech for a new equilibrium that respects user privacy, rewards content creators, and protects advertisers from fraud.”

The Program

After a welcoming address, Ingo Rübe and Bruce Pon will present two keynotes to kick off the evening. Following each keynote, there will be an opportunity to ask the keynote speakers questions. Julian Leitloff and Julio Santos will then introduce the Fractal Protocol and address any open questions from the audience.

The program will continue with panels after a short break. In the first panel, Carolina, our moderator, will discuss the technical implications of a decentralised identity layer and data ownership with Peter Grosskopf, Bruce Pon and Fabian Vogelsteller. The second panel, moderated by Julian will discuss the state of the Adtech industry and the impact that Web3 could have with his guests Ingo Rübe, Aurel Stenzel and Rotem Dar.

We are looking forward to have an inspiring evening with you.
