Learn to Quickly Download and run ADB on Ubuntu.

What is SDK Platform tools?

Android SDK Platform-Tools is a component for the Android SDK. It includes tools that interface with the Android platform, primarily adb and fastboot. Although adb is required for Android app development, app developers will normally just use the copy Studio installs. This download is useful if you want to use adb directly from the command-line and don’t have Studio installed. (If you do have Studio installed, you might want to just use the copy it installed because Studio will automatically update it.) fastboot is needed if you want to unlock your device bootloader and flash it with a new system image.

Where is the Website and Download options for Windows/Mac/Linux?

How to get started quickly

Step 01: Go to website mentioned above and click on download for Linux

Step 02: Accept terms and Conditions for Download and click on download.

Step 03: Get in Platform-tools folder after extracting the download.

Step 04: Now type ./adb to check adb

Step 5: Once you connect your Android Mobile with developer option ON and USB debugging ON and type ./adb devices then it will show your device. (there will be separate article on how to connect your development mobile for USB Debugging)

As of now it is not connected so it will show screen like this.
