Entering the darkness …
Welcoming the spirit.
Halloween. Samhain. All Hallow’s Eve. The week-long celebration of Dia de los Muertos. Today is the mid-point between the Autumnal Equinox and the Winter Solstice. We are entering the darkness. The veils are thinnest now between this world and the spiritual world and those of us who do this work of spiritual connection and healing get to see and feel just how active the spiritual world really is and can be. The practical things can be very challenging this time of year, as the spiritual world presents more than enough “things to do” and pay attention to. And yet, for many people, the final two months of the year are the busiest.
How do you find balance? … You don’t. You create it.
Scorpio does not wait around for things to happen. It goes after what it wants. And yet, it doesn’t plow everything in its sight like Aries (although, like Aries, its traditional ruler is Mars). Instead, it follows its gut instinct. And by gut, I don’t mean stomach. I mean intestines. Scorpio isn’t afraid of shit — literal or figurative. It’s willing to slither through the murkiest of waters, to wade through the mud, to get what it wants. Scorpio TAKES it!
The combination of intuition and fearless forging ahead means that Scorpio can ascend more quickly than any other energy. This is the energy of the entrepreneur. It’s a savvy (sometimes manipulative) energy. Today, Mercury stations retrograde in this sign, giving us all three weeks to understand more deeply how we wield this energy in our lives and how this energy has worked us up until this point. Don’t fight it. Surrender to it. Honor your ancestors. Revel in the darkness. Follow your gut.
