Courage

If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary. — Jim Rohn

It doesn’t matter what scenario it is; having courage is not easy. We can stress for hours, even days before making a decision. We sometimes forget just how intense that feeling of dread and fear can become. It is okay to feel this way, as it is our natural reaction to something important to us. Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather our acceptance of it and subsequent discrediting of its validity. Fear is not an organic human emotion. Its foreignness to us is demonstrated with the overwhelming effect it can have on our perception. Fear is a playground for the imagination. One must come to understand fear as literally a figment of the imagination. Fear in itself cannot manifest in the physical world. Fear is an idea, while courage is our action to counteract this idea.

Ideas are very powerful. Make sure you are subjecting yourself to as many positive ideas as possible throughout the day. These ideas tend to string together and form patterns that we can recognize, while negativity can destroy these connections and make us feel isolated. Ultimately fear and courage always are a part of each other, so both can make us feel bad; but only courage can pick a person off of the ground, dust them off and make someone out of them. Find the courage you need when fear comes knocking…
