No time for bespoke articles this week—just time for a MEGA update!

It may have seemed the Freeos team launched the Beta Test and suddenly went into radio silence—but all that reflects was how much was going on this month.

Much of these updates will feed into future articles, but for now we have to offer a short, concise update of where things are at.

Beta Highlights

  • Open Beta nearly finished.
  • Over 1000 users and over 10,000 claim events!
  • Dozens of improvements, issues, fixes, improvements lodged (and some deployed)
  • Rock-solid blockchain performance. Our 3 types of CRON services running smoothly. Resource model has been very accurate (allows us to predict scaling).
  • The team has come up with a way to reward the Beta participants. More on this in a future announcement.

Governance Phase Highlights

  • Starting the architecture and data modelling process.
  • Governance Phase scoping and project management for MVP and updates.
  • Looking into deeper Dfinity IC hooks.
  • Looking into inter blockchain communication, bridges.
  • Interviewing additional blockchain developers.
  • Applying for further grants.
  • Tweaked tokenomics model that provides easier access and participation than before. New whitepaper, articles updates and bespoke article to come!

Launch Highlights

  • Narrowing the choice of jurisdiction to launch the FreeDAO Foundation (key for launching the AirClaim). Article to come!
  • Deadline to announce the AirClaim launch date: mid-to-late September. We feel fairly confident that the actual launch date will be a very short timeframe after this announcement.
  • Onboarding additional team members for community and marketing growth.

For all of the Beta Testers, we want to take this moment to deeply, and humbly thank you for your support and dedication—not just for ourselves, but for all who are to participate in the Freeos system in the short term and long term.

We are building an economic system for all of us, and so this work truly helps ensure we all share the very best system possible.

Freeos is not a typical UBI “hand-out” from an authority, but voluntarily, self-stewarded “hand-in-hand-out” from each other. So thank you for lending a hand!

And for those who have been waiting for some news to come—thank you for your patience. We are in the final stretch towards starting this very new type of economic engine.
