NO DRAMA PLEASE
How to Hide and Still Shine Like the Sun
An open letter to the #ILLUMINATION Tribe
I close my eyes
Only for a moment, and the moment’s gone
All my dreams
Pass before my eyes, a curiosity ~Kerry Livgren (Kansas)
I am one to believe in my dreams. And I know I am not alone.
We are all feeling a little sad and overwhelmed today, and I understand.
As the old saying goes, “This too shall pass.” I am a die-hard optimist.
Sherry McGuinn had put out a challenge, and many of us responded with “Silver Lining” posts.
So I ask,
“Where is the silver lining today in our current situation re: Illumination?”
As I see it, first of all, we have gained a new appreciation for what we have, and I am using the present tense on purpose. It’s not over.
I ask myself: Do I genuinely believe that good can lose to evil? That one person with misguided intention can bring a good thing down? I don’t. The Sun sets, and the Sun rises. Season come and go. We live in a world that is cyclical by nature.
I believe that only hurt people hurt others. How hurt must somebody be to want to hurt hundreds, no, thousands of other people? I don’t just feel sorry for someone like that, I also pray for them, and send them love.
The Sun doesn’t lose its shine behind the clouds. #ILLUMINATION is an idea that is the brainchild of Dr. Mehmet Yildiz. Ideas don’t die because of resistance; they persist and become healthy by facing challenges.
These are just some thoughts I am entertaining this morning as I get ready to resume my passion for writing and communicating what I believe.
Y’all be blessed and have fun writing, reading, and connecting.
As always, thank you for reading.
