Top Strategies to Earn Like a Pro

Do you dream of being a millionaire? Or do you want to be the top-rated freelancer with thousands of dollars coming each month?

99% of people reading this blog post will eventually say yes to the above questions. Of course, who doesn’t want to earn money? No one will say “NO” to money in this time of uncertainty. But have you ever thought about how to get there? How to fulfill your dreams by turning them into achievable goals?

Well, we all make plans and have a good sense of where we’ll end up. However, even the most self-aware of us are sometimes blank or have no answer to the question, “How to achieve goals? Or when will you achieve your goals?” So, why is it so?

This is all because of not having the exact path to follow. You need to develop strategies that can take you to the point where you can easily determine your success.

It’s easy; all you need to do is:

  • Schedule your day by dividing it into two halves; one is for doing work, while the second half is for cold pitching.
  • Strategize how much income you are currently earning and what is your next target.
  • Save your hard-earn money by investing in something valuable.
  • Expand your freelance business gradually to make sure that you are stepping forward towards your goals.

What’s special in the above four points? If it takes all these four points to get successful, then why do several people still fail to earn like a pro?

Let me be clear: I’m writing this blog post to share valuable tips (yes, not those that you already know) that currently helped me to achieve my goals and bring the valuable output on a consistent basis.

So, let’s begin with top strategies to earn like a pro.

Hack 1: Learn, Learn, & Learn

It all starts with learning. Whether you want to excel in the field of writing or want to be a freelance developer like me :) you need to learn the art before you start focusing on generating money. Of course, that doesn’t mean that you won’t earn during the learning stage, but your focus should be on learning and adapting skills. So, what’s special here?

We all do learning before we can enter into a particular field. True, isn’t it? But when it comes to freelancing, the majority of people start searching for how to make dollars instead of knowing the key freelancing tactics. This is the reason most freelancers fail to earn like a pro.

A simple, effective, and unique strategy that can help you to learn is:

  • Approach an expert or a senior freelancer and start working on the low rates to test yourself.
  • Start following your favorite expert who shares freelance tips and tricks (don’t forget me :P)
  • Stay up to date with the market trends.

Hack 2: Identify Your Self Worth

Let’s imagine that you have been into freelancing for more than a year, and still, you are unable to crack a magic formula to earn like a pro. Why is it so? Well, honestly, it’s all because of the lack of knowing your self-worth.

Either you are not good in your particular field, or you are still working for peanuts. You need to identify your self-worth by judging your professional style. As far as I’m concerned, I never compromise on my rates for anyone until I find it can give me a better business for the next time.

Thus, you need to be similar, think like a business person to understand the difference between value and money. Remember, if you are giving value to your clients, they will be ready to pay you more at all costs.

Hack 3: Disciplines of a Top-notch Freelancer

Freelancing isn’t similar to a 9 to 5 job where we only say “hello,” “nice to meet you,” “goodbye” to our colleagues or bosses. Instead, as a freelancer, you need to learn and adopt the disciplines that can help you in becoming a pro freelancer.

The first discipline is following your passion throughout freelancing. You need to fall in love with the work you do. On a lighter note, it’s about connecting your emotions, heart, feelings with the work you do. However, this is not enough. As a freelance developer, over the years, I felt that Assertive Communication, Self-Evaluation, Continuous Learning, and Mastery in Productivity sets a huge difference in earnings.

Hack 4: Build A Brand

Brand development is an important phase in any freelancer’s life. After gaining experience by working for local and international clients, it’s important to speak your heart out. LinkedIn, Medium, and even a side blog can be the best way to start building a brand around your name.

However, this is not an overnight task. Instead, it will take a few months or even years to grow. But it will also help you to win more projects, showcase your portfolio to others, and build a network that listens to you.

If you aren’t following the above hacks, then start from now, and see the difference in your freelancing journey. And, yes, don’t forget to share your valuable feedback with me :)
