McCARTY, Nolan, and Adam Meirowitz. “Game Theory.” The Encyclopedia of Political Science(n.d.): n. pag. Princeton.edu. Web.

This publication outlines and expands upon currently accepted principles of game theory applied to modern political science. It introduces itself with the fair argument that game theory has been explored and established significantly more in other realms of academia — notably economics, computer science, and biology — but has not set a strong enough foothold in political science. It also inherently makes the case that a player of the political game can achieve certain objectives through mathematical strategy (but don’t think long equations or calculus, think probability) and recognizing themselves as parts of a larger system.

More specifically, game theory can be applied to public choice theory, war bargaining, political economy, etc., all areas that partially make up the umbrella term “Political Science.” Article is clearly outlined and thorough, and can be easily returned to for reference
