French Nomad is a program that brings together communities of adventurous and talented Digital Nomads from across the globe to spend 30 days living, working in Marseille and discovering lifestyle in the French Riviera (aka “la Cote d’Azur”).

Become a French Nomad

13M of digital nomads worldwide in 2017, 1B expected in 2035! Ok, let’s say digital nomadism is on the raise ;) Why’s that? Simply because there are more and more web entrepreneurs starting businesses. Being a digital nomad is so great because you can work and explore the world at the same time. You don’t need to be located in a specific place and planet Earth becomes your office.

Besides, as the Internet speed keeps increasing at crazy rate, you can now access websites and data in a flash anywhere. And if the wifi is too slow, you can even use your phone with 4G (and soon 5G!). More than just a trend, digital nomadism has become a real lifestyle. We get that.

Why this project and why Marseille?

We are Marseillais ourselves and we love both our city and La Cote d’Azur. So, our main goal thinking about this project was to introduce the beauty of this area to the World.

Since its stint as the European Capital of Culture in 2013 and the addition of many classy new museums, Marseille has sparkled with a new sense of optimism and self-belief. Besides, Marseille is the ideal location for people who love sea, mountains, and nature. All you need is only between 10 minutes and 2 hours away. You want to practice windsurf, get ready in 10 minutes. You want to go skiing in Winter, you’ll be there in only 2 hours.

But, besides the amazing beaches and stunning Mediterranean coastlines, Marseille is on a path to becoming the new tech hub of Europe. Many entrepreneurs, coming from all countries of Europe, decide to run their business here. Moreover, very ambitious European innovative projects like The Camp, a place for a community of creators to find groundbreaking and scalable solutions, start in Marseille. Interxion, the worldwide leader in submarine Internet cables, has recently selected Marseille to be the larget hub in Europe for connectivity. This hub will connect the USA, Africa, Middle East, Asia and South of Europe.

What to expect of this unique experience?

Share, collaborate, learn from each other and grow together. You get it: If there is something you’ll learn from joining the French Nomad program, it’s the strong sense of community. You will enjoy a networking community of 12 people who are really smart, hardworking and driven individuals. This presents a lot of opportunities, especially for jobs and personal and professional growth.

Joining French Nomad, you’ll instantaneously share a common bond with the participants, given it takes a unique individual to pick up their life and travel with a group of “strangers”.

The most interesting thing is that everyone will be so different in so many ways but everyone will get along, everyone will be open to getting to know one another and everyone will want to be successful at being digital nomad. Yes, that’s true, we can’t wait to see you becoming a French Nomad ;)

A bientôt!
