We’ve got a lot of ideas. Some are better than others. But sometimes even the really good ones don’t get past the drawing board due to reasons beyond everyone’s control. Hey, it happens.

We often make animatics during the pre-production phase of a project to show our clients how the script can come together with image, voiceover, music, and sound design. This way when we get into production, the clients know exactly how everything is going to come together.

Flurry (maybe you’ve heard about them lately) was interested in breathing more life into the recruiting video. Sure, we could interview their team, hear cool stories, then show everybody working and playing hard, but they wanted to try something different. After an initial brainstorming session, we came up with the concept of making the video feel like the intro of a movie. Something fast-paced and driven by narration that showcased Flurry’s sharp wit and tech-focused personality.

To show this complex idea in action, we wrote a script, created storyboards, and then put together this animatic (you can listen to the silky smooth sounds of Creative Director Andrew “In A World” Juncker on the VO).

Everyone in our field says they like to tell stories and change the world blah blah, but what we really like is to collaborate with our clients. After all, we’re making movies. We want you to have fun, we want to have fun, and entertaining content is a great way to connect with your audience.

Enjoy!
