Dori describes himself as an introvert, a serious and honest person, yet funny as well. After three years of military service for his country, he moved to Bulgaria to be with his family and to study.

“The most important thing is to be disciplined and to have this in whatever you do. Because you can be motivated to do something but eventually the motivation will fade. If you are disciplined about something then you keep on doing it and doing it. I think this is one of the most important traits you can have,” says Dori, reflecting on the most valuable lesson he got from his time in the army.

Dori Elron is from Yerushalayim, Israel and he just started his first semester at AUBG. He is planning to major in Political Science and Psychology but he wants to try other disciplines as well. His family also lives here because his father is the Ambassador of Israel in Bulgaria. So far, Dori really likes Bulgaria for its kind people and beautiful nature.

“I am very happy I chose it so far. It’s like the result of the people here and the professors are nice, the atmosphere is warm and friendly,“ says Dori for AUBG.

Originally, Dori was accepted in a university in Israel but after visiting the place, he realized that it was not for him. Then, he came to Bulgaria with his family and visited AUBG. “I was just really impressed by the place so that is why I decided to sign up for it.”

While doing his military service, he made long-lasting friendships and met inspiring commanders. From them, he learned to be disciplined, mature and consistent with everything he does. “Let’s say I start doing something, I need to keep on doing it every day and improve a little bit every day.”

He hopes to gain useful knowledge and make valuable connections at AUBG which will help him in the real world. Speaking about what he wants to achieve in life, he says: “I am just like everyone else - to have a successful career and to raise a family and to have a house and everything.”
