Cheat Marinades You Must Always Keep in Your Fridge!

With busy days, competitive schedules and long working hours, cooking at times is probably the last thing on your mind. Something as simple as picking up vegetables and making a curry can seem like a daunting task. For days like these (and we hope they are few as we love cooking), we are giving you easy to make and delicious to whisk marinades that you must always keep in your fridge. Check out our hassle-free marinade recipes straight from our chef’s diaries. Use it with cottage cheese, veggies or even leftover chicken/meat and never have a hungry moment!

Orange Ginger Marinade (light and tangy)

What you’ll need?
4 Tbsp. — Orange juice
1 Tsp.– Orange zest
1- Chopped ginger
1 Tsp. — Ginger powder
1 Tsp. — Italian seasoning (thyme and oregano can be used)
1 Tbsp. — Vegetable oil
1 Tsp. — Chilli flakes
2 Tbsp. — Honey
2 Tbsp. — Dijon Mustard
Salt and Pepper for taste

Method:
1. Mix all the above ingredients well and apply on the meat/veggies, grill the dish or set it aside for 2 hours to marinate. You can use this on a salad as well for a quick tangy bite.

Shelf life: 4–5 days.

Al Faham Marinade (creamy)

What you’ll need?
1 — Chopped onion
1 — Chopped ginger
2 — Chopped garlic cloves
1 — Chopped green chilli
500 ml — Hung curd
1 Tbsp. — Lemon Juice
1 Tsp. — Cumin and cinnamon
1 Tsp. — Chilli and turmeric powder
Season with coriander
Salt and pepper to taste

Method:
1. Mix the above ingredients well, marinate and coat all the sides of your leftover meat or veggies for a perfect quick Monday lunch.

Tip: Mix all these marinades in a jar which helps in easier mixing as well as quick storage.
