  1. Sweden — They call it ‘Macaroni Pudding’ and it’s extremely good! Although it sounds like a pudding but it isn’t one. It is made of cheese, leek (Garlic-onion plant) and pasta.
  2. Egypt — This is version is a little different form the classic mac and cheese as it is made of ground beef between two layers of macaroni. This is finished with a béchamel sauce consisting of butter, flour and milk.
  3. Greece — Greek is slightly similar to the Egyptian mac and cheese but this consists of no meat. So basically lots of butter, flour, milk, cheese and pasta.
  4. Maltese — In Malta with time mac and cheese became the most famous dish and it was only because they made it with completely different flavours and it consisted of minced pork/beef in a bolognese (meat, tomato paste, coriander and onion) sauce along with cheese.
  5. Switzerland — Most of the mac and cheese vary with the toppings and sauces but this one particularly differs due to its selection of cheese, adding absolutely no cheddar. They add Swiss cheese extensively and this creamy goodness is topped with onion and meat.
