This phrase means chicken braised in hunter-style cooking. Interestingly, it is said this name came about when a hunter’s wife cooked this meal with simple leftovers at home. It is a cooking style originated in Italy which involves using bold flavours like bay leafs, tomatoes, onions, garlic, celery, good chicken (traditionally with bone, contains more fat and takes time to cook) and lots of wine (all Italian dishes are incomplete without wine).

Why this dish makes the extra cut is also because of method which involves low wastage of nutrition, high on taste and brilliant meal in itself. This untouched classic dish does not come with any major changes but quick tips to make this process less time consuming. Renowned chefs have also given a try with boneless meats, that is the chicken thigh (contains less fat and cooks faster) and it has summed up for a good bite.

Nigella Lawson’s Pollo Alla Cacciatora recipe was one of the most appreciated and tried at home method which involves under 10 ingredients and usage of cannellini beans and serving this with beautifully steamed rice. Making it the perfect supper!
