A blessing to get it right, this Italian delicacy is probably one of the easiest which can go wrong. Risotto is a delicious, creamy and tasty blend of flavours comprising of butter, wine and onion. Traditionally they cooked their rice in wine (because no one got time for water in Italy). This dish is a definite must-try considering there are a variety of risotto stalls in Italy that dish-out their unique combinations which give you the liberty to be innovative and experimentive too!

This is generally accompanied with a high content of starch rice which makes Arborio the perfect fit. You can use high quality and expensive rice like Vialone Nano which is of North Italy origin. This dish is also accompanied with fresh mushrooms, making this merrier. This dish is made with wine and butter for a very specific reason which is when the wine is reduced at a particular temperature it gives out a unique creamy flavour making the dish to die for. The end texture of risotto should be equally distributed fluid making it richer and not grainy.
