Scrumptious New Dim Sums Up for Grabs!
The idea of biting into a scrumptious and soft dim sums with an unforgettable and simple fusion of flavours is a dream come true for Asian food-lovers. There’s nothing better than a steaming basket of fresh dim sum to share with friends. These delights are a favourite around the world, owing to the variety of taste, shape and fillings these mini-delights come with. Be it a stuffing of lip-smacking chicken or chewy spicy tofu, these little dumplings of dough are the new-age comfort food.
A tradition came about in China, in which this delicacy is clubbed with yum cha (drinking tea) and served as a quick snack. But it definitely took the culinary world by storm with its unique fillings which now range from chocolate to minced veggies. Dim Sums and its stuffing is limitless. These dumpling are cooked in small steamer baskets (traditionally made of bamboo) which are also used for serving them.
There are incredible variations which are now thriving in high-end restaurants which involves usage of green dough making the entire dumpling green which compared to the regular off-white dough, adds a lot to the presentation which makes it appetizing as well. Another variation is Szechwan wok-tossed dim sums; which are people’s favourite and involves a quick stir-fry of these hearty dumplings in a spicy-garlic sauce.
