Housed in a quiet little corner of Chennai, India, sit a team of developers huddled around a laptop testing to see if the app they have just built is looking as good as they had envisioned. Spritle Software’s office is not huge, probably 50 people at best — but the atmosphere is intense. From custom solutions to product development, Spritle’s repertoire of skills is diverse and deep.
One of the early adopters of the Freshworks platform, Spritle have been Freshworks partners for a year now, growing from strength to strength. They have built over 12 apps and have done multiple customization projects for our customers as well.
Below is a candid recollection of thoughts from Spritle Software’s Balaji Loganathan on how they harnessed the power of the Freshworks Platform to build apps that solve critical business problems

What made us pick the Freshworks Platform
Freshworks has seen immense growth in the last few years and have established themselves as a strong product company with an equally strong platform to build apps on.
There is also a very high monetization potential thanks to customization opportunities from their large customer base as well as by adding paid apps on their marketplace. We felt that it was the right time to join the tide and reach out to more users and sell on top of a proven service. They have a very efficient and aggressive digital marketing team and they get in touch with the majority of their prospective markets in an impressive manner.
Our Experience with building integrations
There are umpteen number of features you could play with on their FDK and APIs. You would even have API endpoints for the events you would rarely expect like timer, contract hours and so on.
The thing we love the most is the support Freshworks provides when you face any difficulty with developing an app. It was midnight when I raised a help request and yet their support team was available to make sure it got fixed.
We had anticipated a lot more time and development effort in building apps, but a robust platform with thorough documentation ensured that things were seamless.
There was a time when they housed a few of our developers in their office for training our developers on the platform and on how to build apps.

Many of our developers have also obtained Freshworks Developer Certification and are becoming experts with the platform.
How we handled the Customisation challenges
When it comes to challenges, we have always had positive experiences because of the splendid developer support that Freshworks provides. Here are two such experiences where we were able to pull off some extremely challenging tasks.
Work beyond the Freshworks scope
While we were developing a custom integration for a Freshdesk customer, we had to go beyond the scope of the Freshworks FDK to perform some DOM manipulation. With the support provided by the platform team, we were able to pull it off successfully and deploy the app on time.
Mint V2 Transitioning Challenges
Freshworks launched their V2 version a few months ago and we faced some challenges when developing apps for the new Mint version of the Freshdesk when FDK was in the beta version. Right from providing methodical training, their developer team worked closely with us in understanding the challenges and helped us by implementing those features within the FDK.

Life after becoming a Freshworks Development Partner
Put simply, it has turned into a thrilling experience. A lot of new customization requests keep us engaged and excited to deal with new people, new business domains and new cultures.
We never thought we could provide such critical solutions so efficiently and effectively. We see improved confidence in our technical capabilities and in analysing and solving complex business problems.
The constant stream of revenue opportunities has given the motivation to contribute more to the platform and also innovate on a regular basis. This has been quite a journey for us with Freshworks and we are looking for a long lasting association.
Our Portfolio with Freshworks
We have built some critical integrations such as YouTube, Playstore, Trustpilot, and Campaign Monitor. We are proud to have 12 apps on the Freshdesk Marketplace.
We have also built a lot of custom apps for Freshworks customers. The experience right from understanding the requirement, to finalizing and delivering the app to the customer has been seamless and we look forward to more projects in the future.
