Aziz, the owner of AZ Transport, has been a Fretlink partner for several months now. In this article, he summarizes our collaboration, which enables him to continue building his company each day in a way that meets his need for freedom.
A family passion
For Aziz, transport is a family affair above all. Asphalt flows through the veins of this young, 24-year-old entrepreneur and son of a truck driver. During school vacations, he accompanied his father on long-haul routes, which inspired his enthusiasm for the trucking business. It is a passion that he shares with his brother, Abdel, director of Transports BOURAS about whom we wrote in a previous article.
Starting at age 16, Aziz began working in transport and cut his teeth there for 8 years. On the strength of his experience and with te wise advice of his older brother, he decided to become an entrepreneur in March 2018. Thus, he bought his first truck and took the road by himself. On the entrepreneur’s path, he learned rapidly and quickly invested in another vehicle, as well as in two semis, and hired a driver. Success was not lacking, especially thanks to his partnership with Amazon.
Now at the head of his company, AZ Transport, Aziz focuses his activity primarily on the Paris Region to be close to his family while still working on his passion.
Fretlink, more than a partner, a stakeholder
But this freedom comes at a cost, that imposed by sometimes restrictive company management. Schedule management can sometimes be complicated. In fact, it is not obvious to find clients while one is driving for oneself. Financial management is often a delicate tightrope act given the highly random payment lead times from shippers, which requires close management of cash flow.
Faced with these constraints, Aziz decided to contact Fretlink on the advice of his brother Abdel, who was already a partner in the network. It gave him direct access to the lines of the largest shippers, which had been inaccessible until that moment. Every day he signs onto the solution and looks at the proposed flows. Aziz takes lots directly by application and organizes his rounds day by day. This gives him the flexibility and proposals suited to his needs that allow him to build his company in a way that meets his goals: “Once the transport has been approved, I receive a confirmation directly in my email inbox. If I encounter any problems, I know that I can easily reach someone at Fretlink. The tool is very user friendly and truly very practical; I can also upload my CMR consignment notes.” Also, being able to find invoices and consignment notes in just a few clicks allows him to be ultra-reactive with his clients. An agile, high-performance tool that assists him at every stage and helps him be more productive.

A future together
This young but fruitful collaboration now provides Aziz with stability and continuity in his business. In organizing his schedule day by day, the young director feels like he has help and assistance with daily tasks. Aziz imagines his future at the wheel, surrounded by a small team of a maximum of 2–3 people, and another truck. While prioritizing a comfortable life, he wants to continue developing his company with Fretlink, of which he is now a loyal partner.
