Pain is where you can find your power.-Maino

We all have a story to tell, Maino has learned to grow from his gloom so he can bloom. His latest project, “Party and Pain” has tracks from God Bless with Fat Joe and Fresh, Addicted to Pain, and my favorite Ghost of Kalief Browder are detailed portraits of dealing with adversity, turning pain into power, and not allowing yourself to wallow in defeat. Maino discovered his gift while being in solitary confinement it is where he disciplined himself to not wallow in his sorrow but utilize music as therapy. He later realized it was destiny to reach those same men in the streets, incarcerated so they to could see above the brick walls there is a rainbow of hope. He wrote his first rap on a Saturday morning in the “box”(solitary confinement) it was the wake up call he was working in his purpose. The single Rumors changed his wake-up and it caused a buzz in the industry.

Commercially, to date, Hi Haters and All the Above with T-Pain has been the anthem for athletes, and most of all it was how my son survived some of his toughest days while on dialysis, and battling FSGS a rare kidney disease listening to Maino, All of the above and Hi Hater. His music has been a motivational tool for those struggling through pain and striving to be greater than the circumstances at hand. The day arriving at Mount Sinai Hospital, Harder than them blared through the radio. It was his defining moment to know he was wining the war against what was designed to break him. Maino the man behind the music is the face of the community that even in your worst you can obtain all that you desire. Somewhere someone who has lost hope and belief is relying on Maino’s music to see that pain will turn into power.

The man behind the name Maino

Jermaine Coleman is more than just a Rapper named Maino from Brooklyn, NY, a father but a story of what can be risen from the ashes of making it out of the system and the streets. You can find him creating music in his Soho studio, creating deals with major brands such as Fila, giving away coats to the community and dropping knowledge to men and women striving to be great. Striving out of their struggles and pain. Maino is creating opportunities, and opening doors so the next generation can see greatness can come from pain.
