It reaches even to those who aren’t interested in the game but the feeling of patriotism is too strong to let go!

The History of FIFA Hosts!

It was then, back in the 1930s that FIFA made the decision to stage their own international tournament. It was not in the plan for the 1932 Summer Olympics, held in Los Angeles, to include football as part of the program due to its low popularity in the States.

The 1930 FIFA World Cup was the first ever FIFA World Cup, the championship was for men’s national football teams. It transpired in Uruguay from thirteen July to thirty July 1930. FIFA, football’s international body, selected Uruguay as host nation, because the country would be celebrating the centenary of its 1st constitution, and therefore the Uruguay national team had with success maintained their soccer title at the 1928 Summer Olympics. All matches competed within the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo, the bulk at the Estadio Centenario, that was designed for the tournament.

Jumping directly to the 2014 World Cup, which was in Brazil, marking the second time that Brazil hosted the competition. The cup was won by Germany, who beat the opposing team Argentina 1-0 in the final. The Netherlands defeated Brazil 3–0 in the medal game. 2014 was the primary time that 3 consecutive tournaments saw the winning facet to be from the identical continent.

Because of the comparatively high close temperatures in Brazil, notably at the northern venues, cooling breaks for the players were 1st introduced throughout these games.

Whose turn now?

After years of waiting and wanting of the Indian FIFA fans, it has now come to this that India will be hosting the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017. It indeed is honorable for our nation to host such an event and come up as one who can do it to the beat among all the other already flourishing nations.

And it is not only the fans that take pride in the same, it is the moment where every individual is under the same light. From the political point of view, speaking on the accomplishment of the country for winning the bid, PM Narendra Modi was delighted and aforementioned that it conferred an opportunity for the country to ‘brand itself at the planet stage’ and to instill the fervor of soccer across the corners of the country.

“It is a chance for us to instill in our youth the fervor of soccer. As a result of the tournament that we tend to square measure hosting, we are going to get a chance to form sensible sporting infrastructure conjointly. I feel that the FIFA Under-17 tournament may be a massive likelihood for us to gift the complete of Asian country on a world level,” he said.
