Our Brand Campaigns: Ready to play? Spin Master chooses Friendz for Risiko and Scrabble

Spin Master Italia, one of the most dynamic and innovative global toy and entertainment companies, together with Simple Agency, involved Friendz to spread on social networks the fun of the popular, non-digital board games Risiko and Scrabble.

Friendz accepted the challenge and conceived two Instagram campaigns, involving the community in the co-creation of video and photo contents.

Risiko’s user generated content campaign “Getting Old” is focused on raising awareness on a new, faster game mode called Time Attack: users will shoot “aged” selfies where they look older to underline the difference between the new game version and the classic version, intriguing but quite slow.

If you have ever played Scrabble, you may have tried to cheat and make up non-existing words: Friendz will encourage to do that! Through the “The non-existing word” campaign, users will have to invent a word, place it on the game board and take a photo to it, commenting in the post its meaning.

To make every photo more personal, the Community will add a funny comment to it, together with the hashtags #Risiko and #Scarabeo (the Italian name for Scrabble).

In addition to the photo campaigns, Friendz will involve the Community in a completely new activity:

users should make short videos which will then be posted on the Brand’s Facebook pages. Friendz team will choose, cut and put together the best video bits to create video compounds which underline the games’ features.

As for Scrabble, the videos will focus on the players’ hands and they will be played in rewind mode, while for Risiko, the game phases will be displayed in slow motion until the new Time Attack rule is introduced, making the game faster.
