Progress — in its incessant need for speed — tends to (deliberatly?) overlook other solutions that can be both efficient and easy going, sustainable and fun, gets-things-done and poetic.
Here is an example of such an old school way. Instead of using a (hypermodern, artificial, uber-tech, noisy etc.) drone, these aerial photos were taken in a more natural, organic, and humane style: with a kite flying quietly — respectfuly! — above the protected Natura 2000 landscape park, carrying a camera attached to the kite line.
There is something profound in these views — even more so when one realizes they were made by harnessing the wind, flying old school up there with the seagulls and condors and other creatures of the air.
Creatures evolved, unlike things created.
These kite aerial photos were taken above the intermittent Lake Cerknica; a protected Natura 2000 and Ramsar site, and one of the most outstanding natural gems of Slovenia.
