That awkward moment when Wales is better than England…

I think no one would have had the chance to miss the current Euro 2016 in France especially when Germany is about to face France in the semis. Yet what I think is most predominant this time is the team of Iceland and the spirit that they have shown in this sport. Not only have they inspired the sport with their team and spirit of the game but they have also shown that soccer can actually still be fun to play and watch and not only be a matter of winning and earning milions of dollars / euros / pounds etc.

I think this image speaks for itself. As well as the fact that the entire population of Iceland is smaller than some of the cities in England.

But the best part — despite me being a former England supporter when there were true passionate players some years back by now — is that Iceland knocked them out of the tournament which led to Wales coming higher in the overall rating of the Euro which I find awesome and also hilarious at the same time. I know that this post is rather provocative but it is intended to be that way. Wales, just like the Icelandic team, have a team instead of single players. They show spirit, the will to win and passion which I think is something that England is missing a lot. Not only in sport but also politically which is nicely summarised when looking at this picture which I would like to finish this post with:
