Key Takeaway: How we built a unique concept, executed it on repeat and ensured success over & over again.

If you live in any of India’s top metros, you would know that the winter season sees an unprecedented rainfall of offline events, with organisers tapping into the users will to step out and brands tapping into high footfall & opportunities of sale, scale & sampling. In such an environment, with double digit events every weekend the real task becomes:

  1. Making your experience stand out enough amongst all the others so the users chooses YOU
  2. Ensuring a great user journey at the event and so that he/she is left wanting for more and comes back next year

We have managed to do this with our own concept titled DESSERT BAZAAR which now has had 7 successful editions since February 2014. It takes place in Delhi, Mumbai & Bangalore every year at prime locations like High Street Phoenix Lower Parel, VR Bengaluru Mall, Whytefield & Sunder Nursery in Delhi.

OUR PARTNERS: Over the years, we have partnered with the best of the country’s brands & helped them engage with the right audience across cities like Nestle, Bisleri, Kitchen Aid, Sula, Cutty Sark, Techno Mobiles, Greater Than Gin and most recently Alpenlibe Juzt Jelly. From sampling to sale, contests to conversations & art installations to online virality these brands have got it all at LBB’s Dessert Bazaar.

  1. Listen to Data!
    We all know data doesn’t lie, but what we should focus on equally is that data talks and every tech-based product should listen more often. And that’s what we do at LBB. With over 2 lakh+ businesses listed on the platform, we are able to pick up trends early on in their life cycle. To explain this in simple terms, a local home baker lists her business on LBB and starts getting orders, participates in Dessert Bazaar and over a period of time becomes a well-known outlet ! So when data showed us the spurt in home bakers & chefs starting their own businesses, it made sense to give them a place to engage with customers offline and that’s how Dessert Bazaar came to life!
  2. Curating A Great Offline Experience
    Now with data on our side, we put together 1 day dedicated to everyone with a sweet tooth! India is home to a huge variety of desserts and chefs came together to create new versions and new products for the users to try. From freakshakes to sparkle coffees, fire paans to fruit kulfis LBB’s Dessert Bazaar has seen it all.
  3. Something For Everyone!
    Think about it, all big value deals are for those bought for family. Cars, gifts, travel, consumer durables, so if your experience has to be large scale it needs to bring the family together! Which is why Dessert Bazaar has grown into a kids friendly, pet friendly and even senior citizen friendly property over the years and that has been our biggest win!

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Phase 1:
We scout the best bakers & home chefs in the city & lock them down to participate
Phase 2: Extensive promotions begin online with LBB web & app at the forefront, followed by social media & influencer tie-ups
Phase 3: The participants start promoting it on their own channels, SOV increases
Phase 4: Final tie-ups with kids brands, entertainment acts, pet friendly zones get roped in
