1. Home & Kitchen (especially ceramics, lighting, furniture)

Given customers are spending more and more time at home, they want their homes to be multi-functional and beautiful. What people really want is to create a WFH space at home such that it looks aesthetically pleasing yet comfortable as one might have to spend long hours sitting at the same spot. Instagram and Pinterest have endless examples of such home-decor products.

A few of the key products that we saw customers keenly searching for was furniture, especially chairs, tables and comfortable sofas.

Examples of brands our customers are liking:

Lok Nayak Bhawan’s Lafayette Lights which came online for the first time on LBB has seen a high demand for their lights in recent months. Brands like Tattva and Swaa Clay have seen a demand for their ceramic bowls; if you’re cooking for your Instagram stories, you want your plating game to be top-notch. MIANZI’s bamboo furniture has been stealing hearts along with The Tassle Life’s dream catchers that make for affordable wall decor and accents. We have seen an ongoing trend for upcycling and recycling among our customers and brands like Cornucopia has been getting a whole lot of enquiries for the same.

2. Festive Wear (Indian wear, sarees, handloom)

Given the economic impact of lockdown due to COVID, brands are really hoping for a solid recovery in the festive season. And across our web, app platform and social media, we see customers thinking through and planning their festive spendings. Indian wear in general is seeing a surge of searches, especially for at-home festive wear. Casual co-ords, Angarkhas, Kundan jewellery as accents, festive-inspired footwear and sarees are what people are opting for this year.

3. Skincare (creams, moisturisers, face washes)

Needless to say, users are now switching to a healthier lifestyle and demand for products with natural ingredients like turmeric and aloe is seeing a rise. People are looking for problem-based solutions for conditions like frizz-free hair, hair fall, acne and are responding well to content along these lines. When it comes to skincare, we don’t see customers being too price-conscious. At the end of the day, you want trusted brands and ingredients to be applied to your face.

Examples of the kind of brands our customers are liking:

Bella Vita Organic’s Anti Blemish and Pigmentation Face Cream Gel with Papaya and Saffron,

SADHEV’s Herbal Lip Gel, VA by Vanshika Ahuja’s Essential Onion Oil are stealing the show with their natural ingredients based products.

4. Snacks and Coffees (sweets, chocolates, breakfast essentials)

The festive season is right around the corner- which means customers are getting a little more generous about what they eat. Eating without guilt is a new way to satisfy cravings along with keeping up a healthy lifestyle. We all are a healthier-alternative (sugar-free, gluten-free, diabetic-friendly) step away to bring about THAT change in life.

Examples of the kind of brands our customers are liking:

Antioxidant Mix Roasted Seeds by True Elements, Ketofy Coconut Cookies by Wallversed and Nature’s Candy Blueberries by Poshtick are some healthier alternatives users on LBB are finding as better alternatives.

5. At-Home Activities

People haven’t forgotten about COVID. The pandemic is still very much there and in order to keep their creative juices flowing, webinars and workshops come as a great way to help people sharpen their skills. Thus, learning at home helps when you can’t go outside

LBB’s collaboration with upGrad was a 5-part webinar where we brought together who’s who of the industry to discuss their work. LBB is also collaborating with Minal Chag of Purple Prose to organize an Animal Zen Doodling workshop for kids this October to help them create some awesome art pieces!
