People Who ‘Can’t Be Arsed’ to Come to the Office Won’t Get Promoted
Another LinkedIn influencer weighs in on the remote work debate in hopes of garnering clicks; well, she won.
Yet another LinkedIn entrepreneur decided to weigh in on the remote work debate earlier this week.
This time, it was Amelia Sordell, a LinkedIn influencer with over 100,000 followers and a personal branding agency in central London.
Amelia decided to tell all of LinkedIn that if you can’t be arsed to come to the office, then you probably won’t get promoted and get a pay rise.
Apparently, the only way to make an impression on a manager is by being sat at your desk for eight hours a day. It doesn’t matter if you twiddle your thumbs all day as long as you’re sat there like a good corporate drone.
Here’s exactly what Amelia told LinkedIn:
“The uncomfortable reality is there is going to be a lot of people who miss out on promotions and pay rises because they can’t be arsed to come into an office.
Whether you like it or not — it pays to visible.” — Amelia Sordell
