Now a successful accountant, Jean honored those who gave so he could succeed by announcing his own gift to the program. A team of University of Missouri Crosby MBA Program students placed first in the case competition. Vinita Bhagchandani, Swati Gupta, Sam Richards and Micheala Sosby developed a strategy Amazon could use to effectively spend its repatriated cash, in light of the tax holiday on overseas funds.

“The case competition was a chance to collaborate with some of my incredibly bright classmates and apply what I’ve learned in the Crosby MBA program. It was a unique, topical challenge that allowed us to practice our strategic thinking and financial analysis skills. The coaching our team received from the Smith Institute made this an even more enriching experience.” — Micheala Sosby
