Trulaske signs into partnership with CUFE in Beijing

In October, Gay Albright, Shaoming Zou and Dean Ajay Vinzé traveled to China to explore partnerships with Chinese universities. First, the team met up with several alumni for dinner in Hong Kong.

They then met with Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) in Beijing, a major research university with nearly 20,000 students. This culminated in leadership signing an MOU. In addition, Dean Vinzé is representing Trulaske on this global stage as a member of the CUFE board of directors.

The team also made a stop Nankai University in Tianjin to work on a partnership agreement with their business school.

Inaugural Mid-America Trade Summit

The MU International Trade Center in conjunction with the Trulaske College of Business launched the inaugural Mid-America Trade Summit to positive acclaim. Approximately 90 successful exporters, trade assistance providers, trade professionals, educators and students from six states gathered November 14–15 for the first Mid-America Trade Summit. The event provided a unique platform to celebrate export success, support networking and share best practices on the topics of global trade, innovation and technology.

John Schram Lecture in International Business presenter, Shawn Askinosie, MU alumnus and founder of Askinosie Chocolate in Springfield, Missouri, connected with audience members on the topic of “Finding Meaningful Work in Today’s Global Economy.”

Shawn also held a Professional EDGE session with Trulaske students earlier in the day. Finding the vocation of your business can come in a variety of ways, he said. To find it, you must determine “what’s the intersection of your talent, what the world needs and what your skill set is.”

Closing out the Mid-America Trade Summit, representatives from Boeing HorizonX, Black & Veatch and the Trulaske College of Business shared insights, and discussed a number of emerging topics linked to “Global Technology and Innovation Trends.”

The Doctoral Colloquium of CLADEA

Trulaske College of Business is one of four sponsor schools supporting the CLADEA Doctoral Colloquium, whose objective is to offer doctoral students a space to share and discuss their research with a panel of distinguished academics of recognized international trajectory.

Education Quality Accreditation Agency (EQUAA)

EQUAA, which is an accreditation agency for higher education institutions in Latin America, recently invited Ajay Vinzé to speak at itsAccreditation Forum in Santiago, Chile. Dean Vinzé also currently serves as an executive board member for EQUAA.
