New Single: ‘How Do You Waste a Day?’ Let’s Ask The Bygones
Meet The Bygones, a Brooklyn/Nashville-based indie folk duo that’s made up of Allison Young and Joshua Lee Turner. The first thing you’ll notice in their new single ‘How Do You Waste a Day?’ is their chemistry and their charming vintage-inspired aesthetic. The two seem genuinely happy to be performing together during the video. The song is about wasting a day with someone you love, and the energy from that type of connection radiates out of their song. The two sing in unison for the entire song, giving it a hazy, almost hypnotic vibe.
The two got their start when they decided to collaborate on Willie Nelson’s ‘Crazy.’ After seeing the cover, a UK promoter invited them to tour overseas. The pair agreed and sold out most of their shows, even though they hadn’t officially become a band yet. You can see why after hearing ‘How Do You Waste a Day?’ — it’s a shimmering, joyous indie folk song with charming visuals and a hypnotically catchy chorus.
