5 Reasons to Celebrate Birthdays For a Week

#gorgeous#itsmybirthweek#nowitsyourproblem

Celebrations bring people together. Birthdays bring fun, laughter, community, and gifts. Just imagine all of that fun but a week long. I have five INCREDIBLE reasons as to why birthdays should be celebrated all week long. One birthday in particular particularly deserves it (it’s me teehee).

1). It teaches thoughtful gift-giving.

#getitgirl

Some of us are challenged when it comes to the task of gift-giving. We struggle to comprehend a thoughtful, useful, and exciting present when the time comes. Most of us aren’t forward thinkers. We forget to spend more time thinking about gifts until that special day is right around the corner.

If birthdays were a week long, the stress of planning for a week long celebration would give us talent lacking gift-givers more practice (me included). I know that the more anxiety I have about an event coming up, the more prepared I am to ace it. Food for thought.

2). It’s resourceful.

Having week long celebrations would save us money. If we all joined in for the customary week long birthday, people would get used to chipping in cost wise for the festivities. It would become something communal which helps you save that coin.

Also, when it comes to the birthday human (comme moi, it was my birthday on Sunday), you would be more prepared for receiving gifts. I know if MY birthday was a week long, I would have a much better gift list in preparation. I could get very specific like a cute nail polish or paying for my tax bill that I forgot to account for. :P

Ultimately, having longer celebrations for birthdays would just be more beneficial to everyone.

3). You get to spend more time with your loved ones.

This is one of the best parts of birthdays. You get to spend so much more time with your favorite people! Just imagine spending an entire week honoring your best friend/favorite person of all time. I can’t get enough of it! Thank you for the praises. XOXO.

Also, some birthweeks are bound to overlap. We can’t account for everything. That just means two people can combine portions of their birthweek! Double the birthday bashes!!!

4). Women gave birth.

#bunintheoven#igotbuns

Everyone knows how labor intensive pregnancy and birthing is (no pun intended… ok I did lol aren’t I funny? XP). No one can deny it. That's why birthweek parties are not only for the kids… They are for the mothers too. The moms get to praise their wittle babies by presenting their birthday child with as many presents as the number of hours they were in labor. How cool is that? #feminism#getitgirl

5). The Chiefs won the Superbowl because it was my birthday.

This point might not to apply to you (unless it does in which case, yay you). This Sunday the Chiefs had a nail-biting, heart-racing, pants-pooping Superbowl game. It was a marvel to watch on my birthday. I believe that the Chiefs received good luck that helped them take home the gold because it was my birthday. Hence there forth, they won the game for me. Therefore, every post game celebration is for my birthweek. #girlmath#❤Chiefs

I think this should apply to all events that land within the birthweek. IF there is another celebration going on then they must give the birthday being at least the same number of presents as the person’s age. I guess Andy Reid owes me 23 gifts. Jk not really though.

In Conclusion…

Birthdays should be birthweeks starting two days ago.

…Oh my gosh! That would mean my birthday is extended. How crazy. :P Rawr XD
