Hello!

Dear Friends,

It has been a long time, a longer time than I realized, since I last wrote here. I hope all is well with you. My lack of writing, fortunately, has not been from a lack of adventures. However, the speeding track of time and busyness of life keep surprising me, so chronicles of said adventures are still coming.

During one of these adventures, my camera, “Old Faithful,” bit the dust. It was a quiet death. One evening, he just failed to turn on even with a full battery. This camera came with me on every trip from the time I was 16. It went up mountains, through rain and snow, criss-crossed the world with me, and was dropped repeatedly. When in Rome, I took over a thousand pictures a month. (If any of my RomeFam is reading this, I will eventually get pictures to you. It might take ten years, but It’ll happen.) All to say, RIP Old Faithful; I’ll be taking more pictures again when I have found a new camera companion, hopefully as steadfast as you.

Anyway, my plan is to begin writing here more consistently again; but knowing my life at the moment, I’m not going to promise total consistency.
