Codewars: Unleash the power within

For years, I have been in search for a simple and intuitive coding challenge website. Finally, the search is over.

It is one of the best things that I have stumbled upon during the start of this year and as January has passed by, I am happy to be hooked to this website.

How is works?

Codewars provides a large collection of coding challenges (a.k.a kata) submitted and edited by their own community. You can solve the challenges directly online in their editor, using one of the 20+ programming languages.

You can also view discussions for each challenge as well as user solutions (only after submitting your solution).

By solving their challenges, you can earn points and climb up the rankings.

The idea behind ranking is very captivating. See below:

The terms are borrowed from a system in Japanese martial arts, which is in turn borrowed from the game of Go.
